Pear tart. Empty Pear tart.

I've just made this. Couldn't be easier and it looks amazing!

I pkt ready rolled puff pastry.
3 ripe pears.
apple sauce
golden caster sugar.
1 egg

Heat oven at 200 for fan oven.

Put parchment on a baking tray and use a dinner plate as a template to cut a circle of the pastry.
Lay pastry on tray.
Spread over a thin layer of apple sauce, leaving 1 1/4 ins around the outside.
Cut the tops off the pears and slice the rest and lay on the apple sauce in overlapping circles finishing in the centre. Sprinkle with the sugar.
Brush the edge of the pastry with an egg wash.
Bake 25 mins until the edge looks golden and puffed up.

Looks fab Kate. Puff pastry is brilliant. Couldn’t bear to have to make it.
